Your main responsibility will be to managing various suppliers within the business, ensuring best quality, services and commercial terms are achieved.

We are looking for a organised individual, who has strong IT Skills, and has a high attention to detail, who has experience of working within a procurement team and managing supplier performance as well as working well with other departments and key stakeholders.

What are we looking for in our Buyer?

  • A buyer with a proven track record, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel. Sage 200 experience is preferable
  • The role may require travel from time to time, therefore a UK driving license is required
  • High levels of accuracy and numeracy
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • An organised individual with a high attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Ability to self-manage.
  • Good communication skills.

What does the Buyer at EnviroVent actually do?

  • Purchase products and services to meet the company’s needs.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure continuity of supply of all necessary raw materials and components in line with the broader sales and production forecasts.
  • Tender / RFQ generation and evaluation through to contract, ensuring best practices are adhered to and best possible commercial terms achieved.
  • Maintain supplier on-boarding and performance assessment procedures in accordance with S&P Group and ISO 9001 standards ensuring continuous improvements to service levels and commercial terms for the business.
  • Ensure systems are maintained to reflect agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support with departmental needs; including product sourcing, pricing, technical data, bid support and new product development.
  • Produce and analyse reports and forecasts as required.
  • Solve problems with orders or invoices in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Support all team members with shared learning to promote continuous improvement within the team.

What does the Supply & Fit and Credit Control Supervisor actually do?

  • Assist the Finance Manager in creating and implementing best practice Finance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.Provide a friendly memorable customer service experience to all customers.
  • Manage the Customers on Credit Terms and report on Aged Debt.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with management responsibilities; such as recruitment, inductions, training, appraisals, development and performance management of sales ledger team.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of accounting practices.
  • Create a climate of accountability and empowerment with team members to ensure exceptional and consistent customer experience.
  • Identify any common queries/trends effecting customer service delivery and ensure solutions are created and executed in line with business plans. 
  • Generate and analyse reports; inc KPI’s, daily sales, and month end processes.
  • General office administrative duties such as making enquires, gathering info, data entry, scanning, filing, answering telephone queries etc.
  • Assist with the management of Sales Ledgers including resolving, monitoring, analysing and reporting of debit notes.
  • Establish strong working relationships with the external sales teams and internal departments to ensure our customers’ expectations are met or surpassed.
  • Complete sales invoicing and month end processes, including generating reports, raising invoices/credits and quality checks as and when required.

What are we looking for in our Design Engineer?

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in designing mechanical products for manufacture
  • A bachelor’s degree qualification in Mechanical or Design Engineering
  • Strong technical design skills and the ability to visually communicate ideas quickly and effectively.
  • Proactive approach to technical projects demonstrating good analytical and design problem solving skills.
  • In-depth working knowledge of injection mould part design and processing
  • SolidWorks experience
  • A positive and confident approach to project work with good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team, all to agreed deadlines.
  • The ability to plan individual activities within a project and be adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Project management and drive to see a product from initial concept into production.
  • Effective written, verbal communication and organisational skills.
  • A good working level of Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.

What do our Design Engineers actually do?

  • Full mechanical design of new products from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop design solutions which hit brief and specification.
  • Use CAD software to produce design for manufacture (DFM) ready proposals that include technical drawings, material selection and BOM’s.
  • Oversee and coordinate plastic injection mould tooling.
  • Selection of mechanical componentry which takes into consideration standardisation, obsolescence, availability, and cost.
  • Prepare and present concepts at regular design reviews.

  • Management or supervisory experience with strong interpersonal and customer facing skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate to multiple stakeholders.

What responsibilities do our Installations Managers have?

  • Responsibility for a profit and loss account and associated KPI’s across a defined operational area.
  • Continually monitor installation resource either direct or sub-contract and maintain sufficient levels to achieve required KPIs and lead times.
  • Responsible for direct labour and sub-contractor recruitment, verification, and daily ongoing management.
  • Management of performance and conduct of employees in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all installations are completed in line with quality standards, company policies, procedures and are fully compliant with all required industry standards.
  • Lead by example in taking ownership of H&S and compliance and ensure all audit checks are completed as required.
  • Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are recorded and investigated in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure individual performance reviews are completed along with PDPs to identify individual training needs and development.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Support Manager & National Installations Manager, identify training requirements, ensure all training is in date and formulate a yearly training plan for your team.
  • Keep up to date with industry best practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage all associated costs including expenses, products, equipment, tools, hotel and travel expenses and overtime payments.
  • Carry out regular team meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Responsible for all contracts within defined area of responsibility including attendance at pre-start/review meetings with clients.
  • Ensure training of new starters and Sub-Contractors is completed and signed off in accordance with company policies & procedures.
  • Ensure customer or client complaints are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Make sure stock controls are in place and stock takes are completed as and when required.
  • Utilise ownership and initiative in identifying and resolving problems or issues as they arise.
