How does it workThe extract unit is centrally located in, for example, a hallway cupboard, with ducts running from the unit to the kitchen, bathroom, en-suite and other wet zones. Ideal for use in mid-sized houses up to 220m³ and apartments of up to 180m³, the unit provides high centrifugal performance with low running noise. Highly cost effective and value for money, the MEV Spider provides the added confidence of inclusion within SAP Appendix Q and comes with a full five year guarantee. Easy InstallThe compact size of the unit and its unique spigot configuration allows easy installation into any vertical or horizontal application and is ideal for restricted spaces. Available in 100mm and 80mm versions with up to 9 spigot connection points the unit offers optimal versatility. Self sealing duct connections and a quick fit bayonet connection provide convenience for the installer. Rapid MaintenanceThe system is easy to clean by simply clipping out the quick change washable filter. We recommend to maintain maximum efficiency, the filter is cleaned or replaced every 2 years. EnviroVent SpigotThe EnviroVent spigot is specially designed for the EnviroVent range of products. Bayonet fit ensures ease of installation and accurate seal. The EnviroVent spigot is suited to fit two different diameters of pipes:
Unique EnviroVent Mini DiffuserAvailable with the MEV Spider is the stylish EnviroVent mini diffuser, providing an innovative alternative to standard ceiling vents. Simple to commission and install, the diffuser is fitted with easy to clean filters, which prohibit contaminants entering the unit. These also act as a second defence in conjunction with the unit’s internal filter. Side panels can be easily blanked off according to the extract requirement |
Control OptionsThe standard unit is fitted with manual override switching to provide a trickle and boost facility, commissionable to suit the application and satisfy Part F1. The following control options are also available:
Intelligent Single Room Zoning - On Demand VentilationBy incorporating hygroscopic valves as a control option, intelligent single room zoning is achieved. Responding to changes in humidity, the valves open proportionately. This is achieved via a tracking device, which monitors the humidity every 3 seconds and speeds up the fan in direct proportion: - as the airflow increases the unit senses the increase in humidity and then tracks back down when the humidity lowers. This function is specific to a single extract zone, such as the kitchen, which means that only one zone is affected rather than the entire system operating in boost mode. This ensures that extract performance constantly matches humidity and occupancy levels to achieve optimum effectiveness with the lowest energy use. |
