The scheme now looks beautiful and with the hard work of individual residents who have added hanging baskets, borders and lighting, the difference has been amazing.”

Mary Fitzgerald, 71, of the Oakmeadow Court Gardeners, said: “I feel ready to cry. I couldn’t believe it when our name was called out as winners of our category. It’s wonderful.”

Dan Bourke, Ventilation Specialist, with EnviroVent who sponsored the category, said: “EnviroVent is very proud to sponsor the Green Fingers Award, recognising the hard work and dedication applied by all entrants.
