EnviroVent’s £25K challenge for Saint Michael’s Hospice01/03/2012

Managing Director, Nick Heaton, got EnviroVent’s £25,000 challenge for Saint Michael’s Hospice off to a flying start last month by jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet. Nick raised over £3,000 and, whilst falling at over 120 mph, he even managed to sell one of the company’s ventilation units.

The flight, which was grounded for over 6 hours due to thick fog, eventually was given the all clear for take-off. Nick, along with 21 others, prepared to skydive to raise money for the hospice. He said, “It was an amazing experience! The sky is definitely not the limit for EnviroVent.” EnviroVent joined the Saint Michael’s Hospice Guild of Patrons in 2009 when the company decided that it wanted to give something real back to the local community. Saint Michael’s stood out for the vital service, support and care that it offers to people across the district.

This year, both EnviroVent and Saint Michael’s celebrate 25 years, and to mark this anniversary, EnviroVent have stepped up their support by pledging to raise £25,000 by the end of 2012. The company, who have successfully bucked the trend in uncertain times, has set up its own in-house, fundraising committee to focus on this task.
