EnviroVent was the toast of the local business community last night after winning the Best Large Company at the Ackrill Media Awards. The company was up against tough competition in the form of Belzona Polymerics, an established leader in industrial protective coatings and repair composites, Ellis Bates, a very successful local Wealth Management and Insurance Broker and Disability Action Yorkshire who provide a range of high quality services which support disabled people throughout the Harrogate area.
EnviroVent stood out as a company who does something which is no longer commonplace in this country–manufacturing. Managing Director, Nick Heaton said. “Winning the Ackrill Media Award for Best Large Business is a fantastic achievement for EnviroVent as a local company and a British manufacturer. The last couple of years have been extremely tough for everyone, as a manufacturer we have managed to buck the trend and continued to grow, doing what we do best, manufacturing innovative products for both the UK and overseas markets. In these difficult times everyone at EnviroVent has pulled together and worked tremendously hard, winning this award is a reflection of what teamwork can do.”
The Ackrill Media Awards, sponsored by Nat West, are seen as one of North Yorkshire’s major annual business events. The Ackrill Media Group is based in Harrogate and publishes five weekly newspapers in Harrogate, Wetherby, Ripon, Nidderdale and Knaresborough.
