What is the Green Deal?

The Green Deal is a recent Government initiative to help homeowners and landlords (both domestic and non-domestic) make energy saving improvements to their properties, which are funded upfront by Green Deal finance and then paid back through the savings on the resident's energy bills. This scheme replaces policies such as CERT and CESP.

Applicable for funding are 45 improvement measures including:

  • Insulation
  • Heating and hot water
  • Glazing
  • Microgeneration

Where does ventilation fit in?

The overall objective when refurbishing building is to create an ideal balance between heating, insulation and ventilation. The recommended approach to a balanced refurbishment involving internal or external insulation improvements is to specify continuous ventilation at low cost and low risk.

As a consequence of these measures to make our homes more airtight, potential risk to our health and the fabric of the building may be exacerbated if adequate ventilation is not provided.

Taking the lead in providing retrofit ventilation solutions, EnviroVent has been selected in a number of schemes across the country to significantly reduce CO2 emissions and save money on fuel bills for residents.

Offering innovative ventilation technologies to suit all types of existing homes, the Retrofit Range is manufactured in the UK and comes complete with five year guarantees, patented components, numerous control features and wireless technology to provide optimum flexibility for your projects.
