Retrofit For Life Not For Landfill

By EnviroVent Aug 01, 2011

With experience spanning over 2 decades of working with social housing providers,EnviroVent design, manufacture, supply and install the world’s most innovative ventilation solutions whilst ensuring minimum impact on the environment. Consequently, it was therefore no surprise that as soon as the Government announced its ambitious target of an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050, EnviroVent took the lead in responding to the challenge with its energy-efficient and award-winning Lifetime Range®.

Retrofit for the forward thinkers

Each product within Lifetime Range® has been manufactured to outlast the life-cycle of the property. Designed with innovative maintenance facilities, any worn-out components can be quickly exchanged and recycled. This allows housing providers to significantly reduce future maintenance and replacement costs, whilst saving thousands of tonnes in plastics going to landfill sites.

Operated by Ultra Low Watt DC/EC Motor Technology, the units also consume the lowest possible energy and have the ability to run quietly and efficiently for a much longer extended life. Offering innovative ventilation technologies to suit all types of existing homes, the Lifetime Range® is manufactured in the UK and comes complete with 5 year guarantees, patented components, numerous control features and wireless technology to provide optimum flexibility for your projects. Catering for every domestic ventilation application, such as kitchens, bathrooms and whole house solutions, the range includes extract fans, mechanical extract ventilation, positive input ventilation and heat recovery.

Retrofit Ventilation for the future

The newest member to join the range is the RetroVent, a single room heat recover unit. Ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, WCs and utility rooms, the RetroVent is energy efficient alternative to traditional extract ventilation, recovering up to 89% of the heat that would normally be lost through extraction. Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) is also ideal for retrofit without causing disruption to the existing property. This technique works by delivering fresh, filtered and clean air into the home, gently ventilating it to dilute high levels of humidity, and transform a stagnant and stale atmosphere into a fresh, healthy and condensation free environment.

Building on the principles of the successful EnviroVent PIV systems, the MIV® Loft Mounted Unit has been developed to launch a totally new technology–Multiple Input Ventilation®. Instead of just providing a single source of fresh air into a property, the MIV® Air Source has the ability to supply fresh, filtered air via multiple inputs into areas with greater requirements for ventilation. In addition, it has the facility to source cooler air from outside the building when the temperature in the loft space rises above 25°C, providing efficient perception cooling and continuous ventilation throughout the year.
