EnviroVent are proud to be sponsoring the Harrogate Advertiser Series Business Awards in the award category for Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

The company, who designs and manufactures its awarding range of sustainable ventilation solutions at their factory on Harrogate’s Hornbeam Park, believes in nurturing and investing in local talent. EnviroVent’s very first apprentice Rory Percival is living proof of how the company encourages and invests in its employees. Rory completed his apprenticeship in 2008 and began working as an engineer within the company’s R&D department. In 2014, he was promoted to Technical Manager and now oversees a team of 4.

Last year, EnviroVent continued to boost the region’s economy through the creation of 59 new jobs, and as the company continues to grow and expand in 2014, it has already hired 26 new starters. One area of the business which has seen rapid growth is the private homeowners and landlords market, this sector is serviced by a network of franchisees who add their own entrepreneurial spirit which has been fundamental to EnviroVent’s success. The company ended 2013 on a high with an increase in sales, 15% up on the previous year, EnviroVent now employs 218 people.

Marketing director, Rebecca Mclean, said: “The winner of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award will have demonstrated a clear and comprehensive business plan, explaining how their initiative works and how well it has performed, highlighting a well defined and innovative vision for the future.”

EnviroVent’s local franchisee, entrepreneur Stuart Wright, will announce the winner at the gala dinner on the 21 May.
