Ventilation manufacturer EnviroVent is celebrating its recent award win in the Sustainable Business category in the inaugural Stray Ferret Business Awards 2023, held at the Pavillions in Harrogate, recently.

EnviroVent was chosen as the winner because the judging panel were impressed by the company’s clear objectives and practical Roadmap to become net-zero carbon by 2030.

Andy Makin, Managing Director at EnviroVent, explains: “We are thrilled to have won the Sustainable Business Award at the Stray Ferret Awards.  We have invested heavily in our carbon neutral, purpose-built headquarters in Harrogate which fully supports our roadmap to achieve Net Zero by 2030. It was great to be nominated and now recognised for what we are looking to achieve, we are really proud of all our employees who have all contributed to achieving this award.”

EnviroVent is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2030 across its business, which includes carrying out a number of recycling and waste reduction processes at its manufacturing facility, plus introducing a fuel reduction scheme.  The company works with local suppliers wherever possible and has appointed a number of Green Warriors within its staff to pioneer further sustainable practices.

On the same evening as the Stray Ferret Business Awards, EnviroVent was a finalist in the Made in Yorkshire awards, receiving Highly Commended in the Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturer award. Congratulations should also go to Dovile Stankeviciute for being finalist in three Apprentice of the year awards including Made in Yorkshire, H&V News Awards and the Building and Communities Awards.

Dovile Stankeviciute, a Product Engineer Apprentice at EnviroVent, is part of the R&D team at EnviroVent, which is focused on developing world-class ventilation products for the future. Dovile is passionate about her engineering Apprenticeship and, as a result, has already contributed significantly to EnviroVent’s product development process.

EnviroVent has a manufacturing plant for ventilation systems and a distribution site, located in Harrogate. The company supplies some of the UK’s leading housebuilders, as well as local authorities, housing associations, homeowners and landlords.
