Frequently Asked Questions
Most units that envirovent offer come with either hard-wired, wireless, app or on-unit controls.
The larger, whole-house units usually have more in-depth controls, whereas the Intermittent fans generally have on-unit controls.
Further details on controls can be found within the installation guide with the ventilation unit.
Some controllers are wired into the unit via a cable, or are hard-wired onto the unit itself.
However, there are some wireless controllers that are paired with units that will require a battery replacement.
For further details, please check the installation guide or the User Resident Guide of the ventilation unit.
There are wireless controllers available for the Filterless, Infinity 8 and Cyclone 8 Fan, MEV160 and MEV300, energiSava® 200, 260, 300 and 400, Slimline 150 and 300, heatSava®, some Intermittent Fans and PIV units, including ATMOS® and ATMOS® Wall units.
Some units offer multiple controllers for each wet room, or per floor.
For further details, please consult the installation guide or call the technical team at envirovent on 01423 810810 option 5.
The AirSens range is a set of sensors that can be paired with a ventilation unit to vary the speed to reduce contaminants, humidity, CO₂ and temperature.
These work on a traffic light system with green showing a low level, with amber and red then triggering the unit to increase in speed. The AirSens range can be set up to meet specific requirements in a property.
There are four AirSens options available, relative humidity, VOC or Volatile Organic Compounds, CO₂ and temperature.
There are wireless AirSens options available that should be used alongside a wireless receiver.
Alternatively, there are hard-wired sensors.
Some units have a sensor port that allows the provision for an AirSens unit, such as the MEV160 and MEV300 units.
These sensors can also be wired in to connect with other products, such as some of the Inline fan range.
For further details on controllability options, contact the envirovent technical team on 01423 810810 option 5.
