Frequently Asked Questions
At present, envirovent does not provide MVHR units with cooling.
Approved Document O for Overheating Mitigation refers to the correct use of materials, shading and orientation, as well as a variety of other factors for compliance.
These should all be considered at the earliest opportunity during the build, at the planning stage, so that the correct materials and ventilation can be included in the property.
There are many ways to comply with Approved Document F and O.
There is no one solution for all dwellings, the correct specification and product will depend on many factors, location, size and type of dwelling, air permeability, external influences, etc.
For further advice and support, please contact Envirovent to discuss the requirements of the property.
Maintenance for MVHR units depends upon the nature of the unit and the building and surrounding area it's installed within.
Units installed within city centres or heavily polluted areas may require more enhanced filtration and, therefore, more frequent changing and cleaning of the filters.
The unit should also be inspected periodically to ensure it's working correctly.
User resident guides are available for products which include easy-to-read details surrounding the general operation of the unit, maintenance and controls.
