EnviroVent Reveals Exciting Plans For Relocation and Expansion

By EnviroVent Nov 13, 2020

Ventilation systems manufacturer EnviroVent, based at Hornbeam Business Park, has revealed its exciting expansion plans, with a planning application submitted which, if approved, would see the company relocating to a 75,000 sq. ft. business park at Burley Bank Road in Harrogate.

The planning application was submitted by ID Planning on behalf of EnviroVent and Teakwood Developments, for a building which will comprise almost 17,000 sq. ft. of office space, over 13,000 sq. ft. for assembly of ventilation products and over 30,000 sq. ft. of storage space.  EnviroVent currently operates across two sites – and the new plans would bring its training suite, manufacturing, storage and head office into one purpose-built unit.

EnviroVent’s Managing Director Andy Makin commented: “This has been a challenging year for many businesses, including ourselves, so it is fantastic to be able to share such exciting news about our plans to relocate and expand.  This has been made possible due to the continued commitment of our staff, customers and suppliers, plus the fantastic support of our parent company Soler & Palau Ventilation Group.”

He adds: “Community is very important to us and we are very proud to also be the major sponsor of Harrogate Town AFC for the 2020/2021 season with the renaming of the stadium and community liaison initiatives focusing our efforts.  We are very excited about what the future holds for our business and that the proposed relocation hopes to create even more local employment but importantly helps secure existing jobs for colleagues in Harrogate and elsewhere.”

Daniel Martin, Director of Teakwood Developments, said: “We are pleased to be working with EnviroVent and are very hopeful that the planning application will be approved.  It is exciting to be working with a local company which is looking to meet their aspirations for growth with purpose-built new premises.”

EnviroVent is a Harrogate-based manufacturer of ventilation equipment to homes and social housing, employing over 230 people at its two sites on Hornbeam Business Park.
