Harrogate ventilation manufacturer, EnviroVent, has raised a fabulous £25,000 for Saint Michael’s Hospice through various fundraising events which included cake sales, skydives, a paintballing challenge and marathons.

The company even set up its own in-house fund raising committee to focus on this 12 month charity challenge. Managing Director, Nick Heaton, said: “Last year as part of our 25th Anniversary Celebrations we made a pledge to raise £25,000 for our corporate charity Saint

Michael’s Hospice who were also celebrating 25 years of providing exceptional care to our community. It was a big target to go for and I am pleased to say we achieved our goal! This was a real team effort where people gave their valuable time and hard earned cash to help us raise £25,000 for a very worthy cause. Everyone involved deserves a round of applause.” Tony Collins, chief executive of Saint Michael’s, said: “We are incredibly grateful to EnviroVent for their commitment to this year-long fundraising challenge. Their efforts will be a huge boost to the £3.8million needed to maintain our specialist services. The way the team have thrown themselves into raising their £25,000 target is inspiring and it’s great to have such dedicated support from our local business community. We are delighted that EnviroVent have decided to renew their Guild of Patrons membership and their continued support will allow us to continue to provide specialist care and support to local people living  with terminal illness and bereavement”.

In 2009, EnviroVent decided it wanted to give something real back to the community, impressed by the service and care which Saint Michael’s offer local people, the company joined the Saint Michael’s Hospice Guild of Patrons. Now into its fourth year, EnviroVent plans to continue to support Saint Michael’s Hospice with various activities including the Great North Run and the New York Marathon.

On the commercial front, 2012 was another tough year for business, with companies struggling for growth against a tide of economic instability, austerity and stiff competition, yet despite this, the company has continued to grow. Bucking the trend, with impressive growth on last year’s figures a long with creating 49 new jobs, EnviroVent has earned its place as an innovative British manufacturer, who continues to design and develop new energy efficient ventilation technologies to improve indoor air quality throughout the nation.
